Mamma Mia!

My original plans were to go to Ruston this weekend, but it didn’t work out. So I went shopping for furniture yesterday. I found a 2 bedroom apartment about ½ mile from where I live now that I’m going to move into at the end of this month. So I need another bedroom suite. Well, I’ve never bought bedroom furniture before…it’s expensive! And I haven’t even started looking at mattresses yet!

Last night I went to see Mamma Mia at Fair Park in Dallas. It was very good! If you’re not familiar with Mamma Mia, it’s about a girl who is getting married and doesn’t know who her father is. So she invites the 3 possible dads to her wedding. I won’t spoil the rest for you, just in case you have plans to see it someday. It was so cute! It’s all ABBA songs. My friends and I sat close to the top with no one on the row in front of us. So needless to say, we did some singing along.
Today we’re going to see Superman. I can’t wait! I always loved watching it when I was younger. Then there was the tv series with Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher too. You gotta love Superman...no matter what cute, dark-haired actor is playing him. :)

Well, have a good weekend!

Mandy...we have some good furniture places here! :) I suggest getting a KING size bed for YOU and move what you have into the spare bedroom. Your future hubby will be glad you did as well! Talk to me about buying a mattress before you do. We bought some new stuff when we moved...learned a lot about getting good mattresses for cheaper prices! :) It was SO good talking with you the other day. We are now back home. When would be a good time to come see you. Maybe I could help with your classroom????? Let me know!

I was afraid buying a mattress was going to be complicated after reading Stacy's blog. :) Any tips you have would be great. I haven't emailed my principal yet to see when I can get in my room. Thanks for volunteering to help! The more, the merrier! I'll keep you posted.

Keep me posted. Jason and I are going to Idaho/Wyoming next week (Wed-Wed), but we will be back in plenty of time to help! :) Jason has a meeting on July 25th. I told him it would go well since it was your b-day! :) I'll call you after we get back...

buying mattresses isn't complicated if you know what you want, aren't indecisive, or don't really care. i was more anal about the mattress than the furniture. so it took me a while to decide.

i saw mamma mia in new york and loved it! it was definitely one of my favorite broadway shows. i even bought the soundtrack. you've inspired me to break it out and listen to it again!

let's see if jessica makes a comment about the 'clip art'

Carrie, what are you doing in Idaho/Wyoming?

Stacy, oh great! I'm the most indecisive person I know! :) What's your favorite song on the cd? I love Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Thank You for the Music, and Take a Chance On Me. I should really try-out for a part next time. :)

Shandra, I'm having lunch w/ Jessica tomorrow. If she gives me any lip, I'll get sassy right back! :) In honor of you!

y'all can all shut up. considering the fact that mandy only posts about once a month, twice if we're lucky, and the fact that i'm sick of seeing grape popsicles on shan's blog, i don't see where either one of you have room to talk about my sassiness.

as for the pics, they're fine. they are NOT clip art. there's a difference. the new superman was SO good. i grew up watching Supermans I-V, so i couldn't wait to see this one. and, i don't care what anyone says...christopher reeve was NEVER hot as superman. the new boy is pretty easy on the eyes, i must say.

and just for good meansure, mandy and shandra can stick it for their comments.

Mandy--to get away from the heat! Jason's grandmother is paying for the trip--so we are ALL about a free trip! I have never seen that part of the US...heard it is SO pretty...can't wait! How weird to pack a light jacket! HA!

that's a tough one. i guess some of my favorites are mamma mia, gimme! gimme! gimme!, the name of the game, knowing me, knowing you...i could go on. i love singing them all!

Saw Mama Mia today and loved it too! I thought "Lay all your love on me" was too cute with the guys in diving gear flouncing around! There was a sweet little old man in front of us who told us during intermission all about the time he saw "the Abba" in concert years ago. What a fun show it was! Thanks for the recommendation!

We missed you at lunch yesterday, Linda! We'll have to do it again soon!

I know! Please plan another one soon! Most of the time, my schedule is pretty free, but I just happened to be in Lake Charles Saturday. Let me know if you guys do another lunch!

that's not fair y'all get to go to lunch! you don't need to rub it in my face by commenting on your blog about it. how rude!

Hey Mandy! When are you going to come see us? Justin is taking me to see Mamma Mia tonight for our anniversary. I didn't know anything about it, so I am excited to see that you and Stacy liked it. I will have to let you know what I think. We also want to see Superman sometime soon.

Hey Merth,
I hope y'all enjoyed Mamma Mia! I've heard different opinions about Superman, but I liked it. As soon as I get packed and moved into my new apartment, I promise I'm coming to visit you!!! I can't wait to see little Sawyer! :) I'll keep you posted. See you soon! :)

Miss Mandy, I understand how busy a teacher's life is...especially changing schools AND place to live. Ignore these rude people (especially the NON working ex teacher!!) and get your life organized.
